I grew up in Illinois and went to Vernon Hills High School. I attended Iowa State University where I received a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Secondary Education with a second major in Spanish and certification in Secondary Education as well. I was on the Dean's List all 9 semesters of my college career and graduated with a 3.69 GPA.
Experience
Current high school math teacher. Teach Honors Algebra 2 and Algebra 1. Have taught Honors pre calculus, Honors Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and college Algebra. I have taught for 5 years. I have had experience tutoring students in high school math and college algebra over the past 7 years. I want to tutor students who may need that additional help to completely understand a concept. I want to also tutor students so they can do well on their assessments and even college entrance exams like the ACT and SAT. I enjoy seeing when a topic all of a sudden clicks for a student. I have tutored several students throughout my years as a teacher and also during my undergrad. My students all saw great results.

Hobbies
I moved to Arizona in 2012 for my first teaching job and fell in love with living here right away. I love the outdoors so the abundance of hiking trails, mountains, skiing in Flagstaff Grand Canyon, and nearby lakes have been a pro to living in Arizona. Since moving here, I picked up running even more and triathlons. I completed my first marathon in Cottonwood in 2013 and my second in Phoenix in 2017. I have a cat Gia, which my husband and I adopted. She is the cutest cat ever. I also am a Cubs fan as I grew up in Chicago, so I truly enjoy going to the spring training games.
