I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching Math. I am currently in the process of earning a degree in Secondary Math Education from Grand Canyon University. I have experience tutoring students at an elementary level all the way through the collegiate level. I have a deep passion for teaching any math related subject, including Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I through IV, and Geometry. I am the most comfortable teaching math at an elementary, middle, and high school level. My favorite subject to teach is Algebra I because I feel like it is vital to being able to understand calculus and trigonometry. Algebra I is an essential building block that opens up all kinds of possibilities when it comes to studying math. My favorite part of being a tutor is the moment when students are able to understand a difficult concept they've been having trouble with. I am extremely passionate about math, and I love helping students develop that same passion for the subject. My philosophy as a tutor involves helping students with specific problems rather than just focusing on broad concepts. Outside of school, I have many diverse hobbies. I like to read fantasy novels that involve magic, hike, swim, play Sudoku, play computer games, play volleyball and basketball, and sing.
