Experience
I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor's degree in special and elementary education. I also hold teaching certifications from the state of Arizona in multicultural education, K-8 elementary education, and K-12 special education. At present, I'm a 3rd grade teacher at an elementary school in Phoenix. I have a wide range of tutoring and teaching experiences. During my undergraduate studies, I worked with children of all abilities at the elementary and middle school levels. I'm able to work with gifted, special needs, and ESL students in subjects including reading, writing, phonics, literature, grammar, math, and Spanish. I also have experience helping students prepare for standardized tests like the AIMS, ACCUPLACER, PARCC, STAAR, and SSAT. I most enjoy helping students with math and English concepts. These are subjects that are fundamental to students' educations, so building a solid foundation is essential! I find it so rewarding to watch my students' eyes light up when they finally have their "Eureka!" moment, and I love helping all my students achieve and exceed their academic goals.When I'm not tutoring or teaching, I spend time reading, hiking, and crafting.
