I am a firm believer in the power of education. If I can find a way for a student to begin to love learning and make the process more fun, it will make everything much easier to accomplish. There is no question in my mind that the most effective way to make difficult concepts easier to understand is to tie them into things that happen in everyday life. If I can do that, and also make learning fun, students have an easier time grasping the concepts and remember them better.I graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in secondary education with a focus in biology. I also have a master's degree in education and curriculum from ASU. Since graduation, I have been teaching in the Gilbert school system. In the past nine years, I have tutored students in a wide variety of subjects, but I particularly enjoy tutoring students in anatomy, physiology, genetics, ecology, and biology. I can also help students who are taking AP- and IB-level biology courses.When I am on my own, I like to spend time with my two children and work on my garden.
